Brilliant, rebellious, passionate, playful, ironic: Pablo Picasso is all this and much more.
He is the artist who most deeply marked the art of the twentieth century, revolutionizing the method and the aesthetic canons. He, who was already a teenager, already possessed an exceptional technical mastery, in his long and tireless artistic research came to abandon virtuosity in favor of a direct, energetic and vital art.
The exhibition presents a selection of works from the Paris Musée Picasso, divided into thematic sections, which allow to retrace the extraordinary artistic and human adventure of Pablo Picasso.
From the African inspiration of the early twentieth century to the most mediterranean bathers and to the famous portraits of women from the thirties and fifties: the exhibition reveals the poetics of Picasso in all its overwhelming beauty.
These are in particular works that Picasso has always had with him over the years and his transfers, which have accompanied him in the daily life of his life, as evident traces of the deep art-life bond that has characterized him. He also exhibited numerous photographs, depicting him alongside works in those real creative workshops that were his various ateliers, from the Parisian debut of Bateau-Lavoir to the masses, the great houses in the Provencal country where he decided to spend the last years.
An articulated exhibition that highlights the Mediterranean roots and the profound vitality of Picasso's art to discover his glimpse of reality, passionate, never banal, never equal to himself.
